mcross83Yes The contraption is awesome although the game itself isn't that great.
Shade_Jon8  I loved it as a kids, before I realized that there were no real decisions. It is all about the contraption, anyway.
snoweel8  Wow, my son (age 4) played this over and over for a while.
tbaker85No Has anyone in the history of Mouse Trap ever actually played the game? This one is all about putting together the ridiculous Rube Goldberg contraption and watching the net fall on the mouse, GI Joe, or whatever other hapless toy happens to sit under the trap. No kid can resist this one.
The Unbeliever83Yes 20 minutes are spent playing the game, and then another 20-30 minutes are spent playing with the contraption.
boltongeordie76Some Cant disagree with the common theme here. Kids love the contraption
csjoholm7  For adults, this is not too interesting. But for kids, building the mousetrap and then triggering it is very exciting.
guantanamo75Some
Mark7  Building the contraption was fun for me as a kid.
musicmom74 My kids love to play this, but it has to be played with a grown up, so the contraption gets put together correctly and so it doesn't get broken. It's also a little tedious, but my kids love trapping their parents and siblings.
pikkusiili200073Some This is less of a game and more of an engineering challenge to make the machine work correctly. Even so, my daughter loves to play with the machine.
Styro7  My kids really enjoy playing this game. I liked it as a kid for the same reason - it is really fun to put the contraption together and see it work.
Ed the Red66No The kids had more fun building the contraption, getting it to work and setting it off than actually playing the game. The roll and move bit it dull and pointless, the operation of the device does amuse.
Admiral Fisher5  There is really very little game here, BUT the kids do love the contraption! But you can play with that and leave the game out of it!
Krishna5  Building the contraption is the only fun I have ever seen a kid have with this one. Still, that's pretty fun... unless the parts break.
cagriggs43No Building the mouse trap is a lot of fun for my kids. They also really like trying to catch a mouse. And they even don't mind racing around the board to get the the finish. However, the end of the game is usually long and very drawn out. Players go around and around in a circle trying to catch each other and it can take FOREVER sometimes. My boys have repeatedly gotten bored with the game when we can't catch anyone. But after we're done, they spend a while just playing with the game instead of actually playing it.
Gecko234  A very basic roll-and-move, and the kids like the contraption much more than the game itself.
m_hamburg4  As a kid, this always looked better than it was. We played it once or twice and were done.
Thommy84  I am not sure you will ever be able to get kids to actually play the game here, rather than just setting up and knocking down the whole setup. I hardly remember the game, just the pieces, which are admittedly quite nice, but that is about it.
tiggle34Some Not so much a game as a toy. Even as a toy, this doesn't hold my daugher's interest. She received it as a birthday present in 1st grade and was interested in having me set it up and playing with the contraption (not the game) for a while. Even that interest faded quickly.
