fluffdaddy94Yes This is a brilliant game for kids and for adults and for mixed groups. The wonderful pieces (horses & riders & obstacles) & the evocative board art complement an already great game. The game can be mean - esp. played w/adults who can figure out some of what might happen when everyone flips over their cards - but it's fast, fun & short enough to be completely addictive.
norwood95Yes Very entertaining children's race game. There's a simple card-selection mechanic for movement, but obstacles and bumping into each other complicates matters enough to be fun and replayable. As soon as a kid can count, they can play (and maybe even before if you don't mind having some random fun!)
tiggle95Yes Great game! Practically no downtime, fun chaos, great bits. Everybody loves this game. It's perfect with 3 people. Fun even without kids. Definitely worth the expense.
Homoludens82Yes See my review on BGG. Note that even two year olds can play because random selection of cards works fine at that age.
Yokiboy84Yes Giro Galoppo has beautiful components and surprisingly good gameplay. It competes with racing games such as Ave Caesar. If not for the childish looks of the game, this would be much more enjoyed by adults too. Kids can easily play this by themselves.
Zopper8  I like to compare the game to Ave Caesar: altough not the same it shares some elements of it and is in some elements even heavier then Ave Caesar. Each kid plays a card face down at the same time and then all are turned up together. The lowest number goes first followed by the higher and so on... Every kid has their own card deck and playing the game requires tough decisions (or random play). Obstacles and the rule that one spot can only be occupied by one horse makes the game even cut-throat sometimes. The kids I played with really liked the game and by the kids I mean boys and girls. The horses with their riders have their own appeal and even if it`s a longer game and quite complex for a kid`s game I seldom saw one not liking it. The material is top-notch with lots of wooden bits and nice graphics Key elements: simultanous card selection hand management anticipating your opponents moves
