| luwies.mum | 8 | 7 | Some | An enjoyable game for youngsters. We loved it as kids, and still enjoy it on occasion as adults. Good way to teach kids about money management. Great for large families and more fun with more players. |
| petegrey | 8 | | | A Parker Brothers classic kids game. Kids learn about strategy, timing AND negotiation all in a single game. Very playable with 2 and up. |

| Shade_Jon | 8 | | | Of course, kids love the game and love to make other kids suffer when they land on their property. And good ones also learn to trade. However, when played with extra rules can go on forever, and often causes fights. |
| Admiral Fisher | 7 | | | This one works much better as a family game than it does as an adults game. Sure there are a lot of limitiation, but it helps teach children about money and budgetting and can be fun on a rainy day. Just make sure your kids do not get hooked on it! |
| Gecko23 | 7 | | | Actually taught the kids to play by the rules, and it has made for some decent family games. |

| Randy Cox | 7 | | | I can honestly say that we enjoyed this a ton as kids (not playing with adults). We have even enjoyed it a time or two since we were kids. |
| tiggle | 7 | 7 | No | Our poor 8-yr-old daughter always wants to play this with us, but we almost never do. It lasts too long for what it is. I don't think she'd like the game much, either, if we'd play it with her a few times. I think it's been almost a year since we've played it . . . at the very least we haven't played it since last summer and it's almost March! |
| Zopper | 7 | | | Even tough it is a horrible game the kids play it every now and then with a lot of excitement again. The various themed version really intrigue all kids. Seldom a game gets finished (maybe only 20%) but most of the time they really enjoy playing monopoly and it gets a lot of positive feedback here from the kids... |
| boltongeordie | 6 | 8 | Yes | Kids enjoy this and it is playable if you use the printed rules and auction unwanted properties but then it requires auction skills which makes it for 8+ in my book. |
| Mark | 6 | 7 | Some | Not a terrible game for kids, but there are much better games out there now, that are shorter and not so luck-based. |

| rayzir | 6 | | | I think families enjoy this. It s not a bad game. It s just too long for what it is. I suggest using a timer. After 30 minutes, sell all the properties back to the bank and see who has the most money. They are the winner. Lots of different themes, which is a bonus. |
| shumyum | 6 | | | I have had some very fun and some very bad experiences with this game as a kid and now playing with kids. Trades and "getting rich" are fun, but sometimes people (kids and adults) take it far too seriously...and of course it takes soooo long...such that it *can* become a bore (but not always). For a game of this sort, I find Careers much more consistently enjoyable. |
| The Unbeliever | 6 | 9 | Yes | Takes too long for the kids to finish. |
| erik2point0 | 5 | 7 | Some | A classic example of kids using house rules so that they will enjoy the game. Does anyone actually play this game by the rules as written? |
| m_hamburg | 5 | | | I enjoyed this as a kid, but it always seemed like it should have been better than it was. It had neat bits and it was fun to play with the money, but it also had a tendency to get boring. For a game of this type (bits and money), I liked the Game of Life better. |
| shawndumas | 5 | 9 | Some | Pre-teens and teens are not likely to enjoy. No half naked women, gore, cursing, or morbidity. |
| gaharoni | 3 | | | There are way better games out there now. |
