Elden106Some This is a great introductory board game. Every kid should play it a few times (at least I think so). As time goes on, this game takes more of a back seat to other more exciting, fun, and strategic games.
pikkusiili200095Yes Excellent way to teach basic strategy and pattern recognition to kids. Also fun to make alarms and missle sounds as you play.
Randy Cox9  I really enjoyed this a lot as a kid (rougly 10 years old). I suspect it will have lost a little luster when competing against video games and the lot.
Shade_Jon9  A classic game of hunt and peck. Part of the fun s arranging the grid before hand. Kids love to make the explosion sounds when you hit. Lots of little pieces, however, which often get lost.
slapdash96Yes I loved this as a kid and now, my daughter loves it. Great kid's game.
Thommy89  Fabulous kids game. Simple enough for them to grasp, but interesting, fun, and quick enough for adults to be able to put up with.
Admiral Fisher8  Great for teaching kids about co-ordinates and also they can play it with just squared paper and a pencil. It really comes into its own with an electronic version. The sound effects are super!
Aranza8  Suitable for under 7 and up, I think. Kids need to be able to handle the small pieces, keep track of moves themselves and handle letters and numbers comfortably. A basic for a two player library.
bcpravel8
boltongeordie86Some A classic simple, introductory board game for kids. Good for coaching them into discovering more effective guessing strategies and playable with pieces of paper and pencils.
Duglis8  Teaches your kid deductive reasoning and it is very exciting and tense for young children. I loved this one as a kid myself!
gaharoni8  A favorite. Planning, strategising, and enough combat to keep everyone happy.
Gecko238
jandrews86Yes We played this and played it and played it! Small pieces get lost easily, however.
laraberrycross86Some Teaches strategy and deduction. Can take too long sometimes.
mawiker86Yes
mcross86Some Easy to cheat, but lots of fun.
runehardt86Yes Still a staple in our game closet. My two daughters favor the electronic talking Star Wars version right now but occasionally still play the classic game. I know they also have it at the YMCA after school facility and it gets played there almost daily. I think repeat play is the best testiment of a quality game.
wkusau87Yes Wonderful game until someone realizes that cheating is possible. For parents playing with younger kids this can help you keep the game even but for a I hate to lose older kid playing against a younger kid it can be a problem.
Bigeeh76Yes Fun introductory boardgame. Quite thematic for a game of it's time. The little ships are pretty cool. The little red & white explosion plums are fiddily and easy to drop or loose. Uses deductive skills both to place your ships & find the others.
