Randy Cox9  Sure it is corny and sure it is nothing more than roll (spin) and move. But it was tons of fun when we were kids and we loved gambling on the spins. Note: this is based on a 1970ish copy. It has probably been watered down since.

m_hamburg8  I absolutely loved this game as a child and played it over and over. I cringe about this one as an adult, but I did buy a used copy from the late 1970s on eBay so that my kids can enjoy it, too.

merkle7  For kids only playing--it is a blast. The pretend level of making adult decisions is a type of role playing that is especially good for adults. For me, make sure the kids playing it can play it on their own (I wouldnt want to play). That said--theyll probably love it it for awhile (Id still get games like Gulo Gulo or Rat-A-Tat-Cat before Life, though).
The Unbeliever56Some The kids like this up until the point where they have bought their house. Then they just want it to be over.
Shade_Jon4  It is fun to read the board and pretend to be a grown up, and the board is nice looking. It is a good game for up to ten year olds, but not for nine year olds plus.
pmboos3  Another one along with Candyland taht really does not hold interest well. The spinner grabs their attention fro about 5 minutes...
shumyum3  This a pretty irritating game to play with younger kids (although they like it fine): too much reading and bookkeeping; plus it takes far too long. Careers, although it seems more adult, is more fun for us.
petegrey2  Basic spin/roll and move game. Very little here to qualify this as a game. More of a story telling device if anything. Suprised this game is still being manufactured. Not the worst-but close.
davebo1  You would have to get me drunk to play this with my kids. They play it on their own just fine, but playing this game infuriates me. I end up doing all their paper work, keeping track of their money, reading their cards, and that damnable spinner keeps falling off and destroying the board!
Germarish1  Yes we played this as kids and enjoyed it. But we grew up and now we know better. There is not much fun to roll, move, and then have no real decision to make for hours on end. Do your kids a favor and introduce them to some Eurogames. They will thank you for it. Leave Life were it belongs; on the shelf at the thrift store
