| Admiral Fisher | 10 | | | You absolutely cant go wrong with this. It is really simple to learn and great fun to play. The artwork is lovely and it also doubles up nicely as a filler for adults. Its essentially a push your luck game. |
| Ed the Red | 10 | | | Excellent game, and very popular with my children. I was immensely pleased when I came downstairs one day to find them playing Kleine Fische in preference to watching a video (which is a weekend only morning treat for them, so not something they give up lightly!). The rules are very straightforward, and anyone can win though there is skill involved. It's interesting to note how this has improved since they started playing, for example knowing when it's a good idea to press your luck or not. Even addding up the scores at the end is a good exercise as you have to discard duplicate fish, retaining only the largest of each type to include in your score.
Highly recommended. This has consistently been our most popular game for over a year, and a child of 4 can easily play and enjoy it. |
| Mark | 9 | 7 | Yes | I played a simplified variant with my 4 year old - she enjoyed it a lot. We just did it so if you turn over an octopus you loose all the fish drawn so far, but you can stop anytime before that happens. |
