helenoftroy98Yes A great abstract game for very smart children. The strategy can be as simple or as difficult as you see fit based on your own strategy. Any child or adult will be excited about a game with a bunch of little pastel camels.
Admiral Fisher8  Bright children from about 8 up can enjoy this one and get a lot from it - and they love the camels!
Gecko238
jtyoshi148  Good for kids to see how strategic placement works. Very aesthetic with the pastel camels. Light game, but probably a bit pricy for the contents.
Mark8
mudrash8  One 7th grader always asks me "did you bring the camel game today?" Great strategy for this age level.
oymo8  Both my girls (4 & 8) are intrigued by the pastel plastic camels, and the oldest also likes to play the game. She handles her own caravans just fine, but she is not paying much attention to what the other players are doing, yet....
peacmyer88Yes The pastel camels (and gameplay) are pretty appealing.
SoLove8  My 9 year old is starting to get the strategy for this. We primarily play this as two player because my wife doesnt like it.
cindy710Yes Abstract game hidden behind great theme and fun plastic camels. Not as light as it appears.
dr_canak7  For a group of reasonably bright 10 year olds, a good game. Quite simple to learn, fun to look at, fair amount of strategy, and can play relatively quickly.
guantanamo710Yes
heinzy5778Yes My son commonly asks to play with the camel game. Being three, he is not able to follow the rules, but the toy value of the bits make this a good game to have for children. Plus, like many games, the rules aren't that complicated but the gameplay is pretty deep. I feel that in a few years, I'll be able to successfully teach it to him and have it hold his interest because he likes the bits.

laraberrycross79Yes Abstract, but the pasted-on theme is fun and makes the game more interesting. Easy to play, hard to master.
moakm7  This is a great game. The eight year old does okay, the 6 year olds just like to play with the camels. They cannot grasp the area capture portion of the game, and will use all of the camels of one color (which ends the game) if you fail to point this out. Play for fun? 8 and up. Play strategically? 10+.
rfage7  Easy to learn. The strategy comes with repeated plays.
Rompcat7  What it lacks in zestiness for the kids is more than made-up for with the plethora of mint-like delicious camels! Even adults end up with these in their mouths!
Shade_Jon7  This is easy to play, but not visually appealing. Once kids get into the mechanics, they have a good time.
