ccmonter83Some An even simpler version of UNO for the little ones, with most special cards removed. My 3-year-old enjoyed the familiar characters. She used the cards to match up the characters and then the colours and finally the numbers. She was happy to be able to teach the game to her grandparents, too. The 'change-colour' card was still confusing for her, but we made it work. Very fast play.

m_hamburg83Yes My daughter absolutely loved this when she was 3 1/2, now, at 4 1/2, she's moved on. But, we played this at least 100 times, so that's a winner in my book. I think this is a good introduction to card games for very small kids- it's colorful and easy-to-learn. It's mostly luck, with some strategy, and is mercifully short. I'd never play this with without kids, but I do enjoy playing it with my daughter. This is a much better choice than most mass-market games out there.
flowerkin7  We have the Miss Spider version. My 5 yo loves it. My 3 yo doesn't sit well through games and this one doesn't seem to hold her attention. I don't think the game is the problem. It's a really great way to introduce card games.
prophx73Yes We have the Winnie The Pooh version. It helps introduce colors and initial numbers to 3 year olds and has a little strategy on card counting and probability for the 5 year olds. Down time is minimal and games are over fairly quickly. It is a good game if played with 3-6 year olds.
wilythesnitch74Some It's stripped down UNO, so it is familiar to all adults. It's easy to find which is also a bonus. It can be played with a four year old without any help from the adults, so my daughter gets a feeling of playing alone, and not being helped by dad, which she enjoys. As an added bonus, it is VERY quick, so you can easily play a dozen hands in 20 minutes.
jcarvin63Some I think UNO is simple enough, you could just take out the special cards to make it easier. The themed decks do make it easier to get kids into them though.
jgriffit4064Some The larger cards and smaller # of cards make this more approachable for younger children. Due to the smaller deck, its easier to maintain interest for a younger child. My 4 yr old has it down (and loves to stick you with drawing cards) :-)
