| sigmazero13 | 9 | | | For a first game for young children, this game works great. Since it doesn't require strategy, it simply allows them to focus on the skills of taking turns, matching colors, following rules, and just having a good time. |
| GelatinousGoo | 8 | 2 | Some | It's nothing too exciting for adults, but for very young kids, you can hardly do much better. |
| pikkusiili2000 | 8 | 2 | Some | Excellent as an introduction to moving and taking turns. Also teaches color matching. |
| tiggle | 8 | 3 | Some | My daughter really liked this game when she was a preschoooler. I suppose it's good at teaching sportsmanship, since luck can change so quickly and kids can have miraculous seeming comebacks by drawing the right card at the end. It's really no worse than other super-simple games. |
| cagriggs | 7 | 2 | Some | My sons really enjoy playing this game. Of course, it has no skill involved and simply involves drawing cards, but this gives them as equal of a chance as me for winning the game. They also love the theme of candy. |

| gilesclone | 7 | | | A good game for the very young (3-4). For older kids it quickly loses its appeal but the tots enjoy the colorful board and candy pictures. There are a few "broken" cards in the deck but as long as nobody is too upset about losing, that is not a terrible problem. I would avoid buying it for anyone 6 or older but for kids that can count to two (2.5 to 5) this is a lot of fun. |
| guantanamo | 7 | 4 | No | Good game for kids, easy to learn, easy to follow. |

| Mark | 7 | 3 | No | I do recommend this game as a first game for very young kids, for two good reasons: It is cheap, and my daughter likes it.
To introduce a little decision-making, let kids draw two cards and then decide which one to use. |
| merkle | 7 | | | Do I ever want to play this again in my life? NO!! Does my six year old daughter who also loves Gulo Gulo still want to play--YES!! Why--well--that is why we are writing reviews with kids in mind--there is a reason this is in the Toys Hall of Fame--kids love it. |
| rayzir | 7 | | | I play this with my niece. She really likes it, however I think the game is waaay too long. I usually find myself stacking the deck when she isnt looking to end the game a bit quicker. Its good for teaching the concept of taking turns. Also color recognition and develops the skill of flicking the spinner (which can be hard for the little ones). Sometimes the adults will win by accident. We always taught that the other players have to congratulate the winner, no matter who wins. |
| Styro | 7 | | | Candyland has always been a favorite of my kids when they are in the 2-4 age range. It teaches colors and taking turns. It also does not take all that long to play. |
| wkusau | 7 | 3 | No | It is what it is. Younger kids only. |
| cindy | 6 | 3 | No | A simple game, dull for all but the most saintly parent but fine for the intended age group. |
| Firestone | 6 | 3 | No | Colors on cards. Pretty simple. My wife bought this so my son and I could play a game together...bless her heart. I'm sure he'll love it though...until I show him some cool HABA games. :) |

| musicmom | 6 | 2 | No | Although I hate to play this game, my kids seem to love it when they are 2-4 years old. You know it's time to move on to something more challenging when your 4 yr old has figured out how to stack the deck so she can win in 4 turns. |
| amcbeth | 5 | 2 | No | Young children revel in the anticipation of the draw. |
