| karlsen | 10 | | Some | The best roll and move game I have come across. The die results are from 1-4, but if you roll a black 1 you always get another roll and if you roll a black 3 and are currently coming last you get to roll again. This makes it quite difficult for there to be a runaway leader based purely on lucky rolls. The stacking of pigs also makes it fun and interesting. If you land on the same space as another pig your pig is stacked on top of the pig (or pigs) already there. When it is your turn to move all pigs that are currently stacked on top of your pig come along with you for a free ride. The board is laid out with a series of tiles, so the track can be different every game. You can also just play with the pigs stacking them into interesting formations. |

The fun of the game involves the stack of pigs. Whenever a player ends his or her movement on a space occupied by another pig, the player gets to place his or her pig on top of the other pig. When a pig on the bottom moves, it carries all the other pigs with him. My sons really enjoy this game. It's fun to stack a lot of pigs and to laugh about landing on each other. They also really enjoy just stacking the pigs up. If your kids like this one, you should check out Tier auf Tier as well. |
| fluffdaddy | 8 | | | The skinny: this game of acrobatic racing pigs not only works well with kids - it also succeeds with adults. It handles up to 7 players quite well... and even comes with suggestions for solitaire ways to stack the pigs. (There is also a "giant" version of the game which I have not seen.) |
