yendi107Yes Easy to learn, quick to play, and never the same game twice. It's a great game to keep on hand for when a kid complains of being bored.
CDRodeffer97Some Fluxx and its decendents do require a minimal bit of reading, so that raises the floor a bit. But it's easy enough to catch onto how to play, and the chaos that ensues is bound to be highly entertaining for kids. I disagree with the assertion that Fluxx and its decendents are all luck. As with any random deal card game, yes, there is a healthy dose of luck, but there are plenty of decisions to be made that can effect the game, even if those effects are sometimes small. The most important decisions in Fluxx are usually when not to play a certain card, and this is a lesson that can, at least in some small way, be carried over into real life.
Norwood97Some Fluxx (Family and otherwise) is a lot of fun, and it does a good job of fooing you into thinking that there is strategy involved. For kids, the ever-changing rules and simple mechanics are perfect. There is a lot of reading involved (to keep up with the rules changes), but otherwise the game is very simple and entertaining.

pikkusiili200085Some Fluxx in any form is still Fluxx and some people will love it and some won't. You should always play a version of Fluxx before you invest any money in it.
cdefrisco76Some Most kids love this game. The reason it gets a bad rap on BGG is that there is no strategy at all. It is pure luck. The younger kids really like this game. Teens realize fairly soon that there is not much to the game and tire of it quickly, but for a very light, quick, fun game you can't lose with Fluxx. When I teach this game to kids they love it, but I don't like playing myself.
davebo76Some A simple game that can be fun every now and then. Quick, easy, and gramma can play too.
fsumarc77Yes Fluxx gets a bad rap on BGG. We have never played any of the various flavors except family fluxx. We enjoy it. The changing mechanics are unique and make for a silly game that is never the same. It can be a bit confusing the first time or 2 for new players but all seem to catch on quick. The game can drag on a bit long sometimes.
The Unbeliever59Some Strong reading skills required.
