Buceph108Yes This is an absolutely fantastic game, and it will be fun for anyone who would play it. The rule book has been designed very well, although it there is a lot of text in it. A child of 10+ should be able to manage it on their own, but a child of seven or eight will easily be able to play, if someone else can explain the rules. The best part about the game is that the first game box (I imagine that we will see more and more expansions) has been done as a tutorial with each scenario building up on the complexity. Because the game is so modular it is possible to take the game piece by piece. What is even better is that it is balanced throughout, so you shouldn't feel like you are missing out on something by playing without all the levels of complexity. A fantastic game, I can easily see two eight year olds playing the game against each other, and even one eight year old explaining it to another. Especially as this is now one of the most popular games in a Universities' Gaming Society, a collection who love nothing more than war and killing brain cells.
erik2point0108Yes OOH I want to play with the giant spider this time. My kids love it. It has a not insignificant set up time though.
Homoludens104Yes Play with my kids (4 and 5) quite often. They always clamour to play. Start with a few rules and then build it up from there.
jcarvin1010Yes This is a great game for older kids and adults to play.
jim.brooks101010Some Another game that i wish I would have had when I was a kid. Younger kids will have trouble with the tactics, but the game is fairly easy to play and teach.
laraberrycross1011Yes Pretty complex, but you can tailor it to your kid's age. Cool pieces, especially the Creatures.
Mark1010Yes Good combat game for older kids. The Basic rules are a little more complicated than this game's precedessor, Memoir '44. The Advanced rules add even more complexity and tactical depth. But the fantasy theme may appeal to more kids than Memoir '44's WWII theme.
phaedrus1010Yes
corross98Yes Wheeee! Some fun! Younger children can play this with help. It's my 5.5 year old's current favorite . . . even though she needs assistance with tactical decisions (and sometimes with reading the cards), she loves it.
Elden99Yes This is a great fantasy wargame for kids. There is a lot of theme present and strategy is important. It is a good game for developing strategy and I think of it as a 'computer like' game. Deeper strategy can be found in other games, but this is fun and fits a bit better in this crowd.
prophx99Yes While similar to Memoir, the fantasy theme really keeps their attention. New expansions are released all of the time, so there are always more aspects of the game to explore.
SeanXor912Yes
TGov910Yes Great game and the base game rules are very simple. The Lore side of it can get a bit complicated for kids, but I tend not to give the kids I play with enough credit :)
wkusau910Yes This is a great visual game. The game itself is not very complicated. Just a level above stratego. It is a war game and death does happen. Everyone needs to be aware that good plans don't aways work.

metalface13812Yes Very fun game. The base rules are very simple but the lore rules and expansions offer layers of complexity that will offer kids to adults lots of fun.
The Unbeliever810Yes Great for older boys.
clandaith710Yes This one can be hard for young kids. They don't understand the cards or who to attack. But, 10+ can easily understand this game and know what to do.
guantanamo710
robingoblin710Yes Too chaotic and luck-driven compared with C&C: Ancients. The chaos produces frustration quickly for some kids.
