CDRodeffer94Yes I recommend 4 as the age floor for Alpha Playing Cards only because they aren't really designed for the heavy wear that kids younger than that are likely to inflict. Even before playing any of the games that come with the set, the cards can be use to help young children recognize, sort and collect letters and to form patterns. For these, APC has good educational value. Once the kids are a bit older, as soon as they can read chapter books, they'll have enough vocabulary to play the games that come with the deck, and perhaps more importantly, make up their own games.
Randy Cox5  Not a kids game. Would rate higher for adults.
Mark   The publisher told me: "Alpha Playing Cards has two games that can be used to teach letter recognition, AlphabetBang and Take Three. Both games would be appropriate for a 4 year old."
