erik2point098Yes My kids really like this game. I like that it scratches the CCG itch without being a bottomless money pit. I am hesitant to play with the Mimix deck with my younger son (as they almost all cards picture a nude or nearly nude woman) but he has seen all of the cards and it wasn't really much of an issue. It's not anything that he hasn't seen on the cover of a woman's magazine at the checkout at the grocery store.
robingoblin99Yes Good game, challenging for kids, but good theme draws them in. My older son, who has been playing CCG's since he was six had no problem picking this one up at 9.

corross88Yes This is a family favorite for us -- my nearly 8 year old son, 5.5 year old daughter, husband and I all love it. My son is able to play completely independently, and I'm guessing this would be true for most 8 year olds. The 5.5 year old usually needs a bit of slack cut for her to have a competitive chance. The game is best for those who enjoy the fantasy/sci-fi theme, as do my kids and I. We really enjoy considering the different races and their relative weaknesses and strengths. As is typical for this genre, the artwork includes lots of pneumatic, scantily-clad women, especially in the Mimix deck. Personally, I don't have an issue with this aspect of the game, but others might.

markball89Yes Blue Moon is a great game as an alternative to Magic The Gathering or other expensive CCG's. The game play is solid and can be enjoyed at any age, including adult. The basic game is the best starting point. Nobody should buy additional decks until they're sure the game works well in the family. The inital decks in the basic game are very well balanced and reward repeat play as tactics develop. Most of the other additional decks have some tricky subtlety for kids; I'd recommend the Khind next as kids get the hang of it quickly and they like the silly puns on the cards.

TGov810Yes Basically a math game, and yes some of the artwork is rather suggestive. Check the pics at BGG and make an informed decision.
The Unbeliever89Yes Some of the artwork may not be considered appropriate for some households.
Ed the Red710Yes A reasonable card game where the basic rules are quite simple but many of the cards break the rules in some way; entirely possible to play with children younger than the stated minimum, though younger children won't understand the subtleties (neither do I as it happens).
wkusau77Yes Good intro into ccg type games. Artwork is an issue.
Yollege78Yes I think this is a great intro to CCG's, or better yet, an alternative to CCG's :). My 8 yr old needs a bit more work to get good, but he can play it just fine. I will admit that a child may need to be older to understand the intricacies of the game.

Elden412Yes Good game mechanics. Lots of discussion about artwork.
laraberrycross312Some Okay gameplay. The artwork must have been designed for teenage boys.
Mark   Some of the cards show women in very skimpy atire (or almost none), if that bothers you.
