pilgrim97Yes Our 11, 9, and 7 year old boys played this with me over Christmas vacation. And played it again. And played it again. And played it again. Does that tell the story? :-) The great thing about MMA is that it is so quick -- it's not a 3-5 hour investment in Axis and Allies or an Eagle big-game. The end-game certainly seems unpolished to me, but the kids have never once complained about it, so it must not be an issue for them. ;-P
aljovin89Yes My 9 YO son was my guinea pig to play the game and he enjoyed it so much that he wanted to teach his babysitter the next time she came. The game is easy enough to understand and play. NOTE: My son only speak French, and can read only a few words in English, so his reading ability are not too required for the game! I also agree with artfuldodge2 about the end game that leaves a bit to be desired, but still entertaining.
cdefrisco811Yes With the right kids this can be a really fun game. There is some complexity involved. My 10yr. old enjoys this game but could not play on his own (without adults helping him along). But a great B-Movie feel. Certainly fun for the right group of adults... but a good game for older teens well.
corross88Yes My son (now 8) and I started playing this when he was 6 or so and have really enjoyed this game. The turns are fairly detailed (moving monsters, moving armed forces, deploying forces), but even younger kids (6+ or so) can play with assistance. For fans of the B-monster-movie theme, it's a hoot -- what's not to love about a giant rampaging laser-beam-shooting eyeball?
Matt Loter88Some Awesome bits and theme make this very appealing visually, and the somewhat simplistic gameplay makes it fairly easy to pick up.
norwood89Some Great monster-movie theme with opportunity for planning and some real decision-making in the first part of the game. The end-game is a total dicefest, but the decisions made earlier still have some effect on how it plays out. More than anything, it's a lot of fun for kids, especially boys (okay... me too), when they get to stomp all over cities and make monster sounds and all.
artfuldodge2712Yes This is a wonderul game for the young or the young at heart. The comical monster pieces really make the game. Wander around America swatting planes and tanks while doing your best to stomp cities before your opponents can. The end game leaves a bit to be desired. The monster slugfest doesn't seem to fit with the rest of what's happening. A better transition to this point? Some house rules might solve the problem. If you're not really into the old monster movies, this game may not be for you. But if you are - this is a blast!
