| Mark | 9 | 9 | Yes | Great game for teaching probability. |
| tbaker | 9 | 10 | Yes | A lot of games are not suited for both kids and adults because poor play from the kid can spoil things for everyone else. Not so with this one, where everyone gets their own board and goes it alone, competing only for a high score at the end. It's like Bingo for people with brains, and helps develop basic probability and mathematics skills without falling into the trap of being edutainment. |
| Ed the Red | 8 | 4 | Yes | Pattern matching at the basic level, some probability for older ones. Very easy to play, with intuitive play. Each person develops their own board with everyone using the same pieces. Because of this two adults could conceivably play 'seriously' against each other whilst kids join in too, at their own level.
With very young children we don't add up the scores properly, just count how many complete lines each person has made. You could also let younger children put their pieces wherever they likes, and handicap adults by making them play tiles next to existing pieces (ie as per the rules).
Good, gentle fun, and a decent game in its own right for older kids and adults. Can take any number of players (if you have enough sets!). |
| The Unbeliever | 7 | 5 | Yes | Young kids won't be able to play strategically or handle the scoring, but they enjoy it anyway. |
