| Mark | 10 | 8 | Yes | Nice 2-player game that requires simple multiplication. I've played the Ka-Ching verion. I really like it, as an adult. Heavier than appears at first glance. Good 2-player for when you want something short with a little meat. Younger kids will not get the strategy required to try to keep your opponent from getting the best cards. |

| smithhemb | 7 | 8 | Yes | Buy cheap; sell dear. You buy cards for their numerical (additive) value and resell them in color-matched pairs for their multiplicative value. But you're fairly cash-strapped so you have to resell fairly quickly and your buying decisions impact what your opponent may purchase (only the bottom card in each column is available for sale each turn but all cards are visible, so you have to think not only about what you're leaving behind but about what you're uncovering).
Two player-only game with complete information. Great for cafes (highly portable and quick set-up). And a nice introduction to strategic thinking. |
| tiggle | 6 | 7 | Some | My 8-yr-old daughter figured out this game after a couple of rounds. She likes it more than I do. I think that's because I don't feel good about trying my hardest against her even though she wants me to try my hardest and can beat me fair and square about half the time (If players both understand the concept behind gameplay--the initial lay of the cards pretty much determines who wins and who loses). One minor quibble--dealing the cards can be annoying since they all need to be oriented the same direction. Seems poor card design. (They're nothing to look at either). |
