pikkusiili2000911Yes Great economic game
dannywebb810Yes This is one that might be a little stressful for kids. It involves a ton of math and falling behind can be devastating as it limits your options. That said, it is a great game (one of my personal favorites) and when the kid is ready for it he or she should have a great time.
Elden811Yes The 11 yr old recommendation for me could be lowered if the child likes math and is patient, although I'm sure they'll rarely beat adults. The game is great for adults, though. Some in our gaming circle say this is their favorite game. I enjoy playing it.
fuzzyfife812Yes Wonderful game but the subtleties of the game require at least a 12 year older to play the game properly.

Shade_Jon810Yes Acquire is an elegant game of buying shares and then gaining cash when they merge. The primary focus is whether to take the money now, or leave it to make more money later. The merging rules are a bit complicated for younger kids, but not overly so. While not a tremendously exciting theme or gameplay for kids, those who appreciate finances and tactics will enjoy the game.
Darksan712Yes Easily playable by older children they may not win often due to the financial nature of the game but who doesn't want to make hotels?
LostDice712Yes
The Unbeliever711Yes I loved this as a kid, and my kids like it too.
wkusau712Yes Kids that like games, will like this. It is a little tough on younger kids. 12 and up is legitimate.
erfalucho612Yes Good gateway game for kids. The math is sometimes a bit daunting for some kids, especially for kids between 10 and 12. Kids between the ages 10 and 12 are just too eager to make new hotels/corporations or to add to existing chains; thus, causing the leader to widen their gap even more.

CDRodeffer411Yes Acquire can be a subtle game, with elements of memory, holdings management and territory. It's great for adults, and I think older kids will like it, but it's not suitable for younger kids. Before playing, kids should have their basic 4-function math and change making skills down pat, and should have played and understood at least one other territory or connection game such as Othello or Hex.
