| laraberrycross | 8 | 10 | Yes | Leave out the obstacles and the game is a lot of fun with kids. Great theme as well. |
| LoMa | 8 | 9 | Yes | Good tactical family game thats plays well with up to 5 players (it's too chaotic with 6, I think). The rules are quite simple, and the dorky elf theme and elf art appeals to youngsters. The gamepieces are a mixed bag - the wooden boots and all the tiles are fine, but the little cylindrical rods are a disaster! A little bit of clumsiness or a nudge to the table, and they're rolling all over the place. We replaced them with painted wood cubes from another game.
The game also employs obstacles, with which you can screw up your opponent. You family may not enjoy that. Ours does!
This game will get boring for adults after several plays, but it stays fun because the kids enjoy it. |
| The Unbeliever | 8 | 9 | Yes | We don't play with the obstacles with kids. |
| fuzzyfife | 7 | 10 | Yes | A pretty neat game where planning where your peices should go is most important. Kids will figure it out with a little help from Mom and Dad. |

| Mark | 7 | 10 | Yes | An older, lighter euro game with a somewhat dry, abstract theme. Haven't tried it with kids but I think it could work with experienced kids. |
| Thies | 7 | 10 | Yes | Nice family game with cute kid-friendly artwork. My daughter plays at age 7, but I think it will work better in a few more years. |

| Yollege | 7 | 9 | Yes | 9 yr old had little trouble playing, although a winning strategy was hard to come by, but for his first play, it went well.
I wasn't overly fond of it though. Not sure why, it is a nice little game. |
