| shawndumas | 10 | 14 | Yes | A lot to consider and remember. Tuff for all but the smartest teen. But it is e xcellent fun. No half naked women, gore, cursing, or morbidity. |
| The Unbeliever | 8 | 14 | Yes | For older kids only. |
| Mark | 7 | 13 | Yes | I've played the previous version,
Wallenstein. This is not a true combat game, but a fairly heavy euro game with lots of decisions, resource management, building, economics, etc. Some kids might get into the Shogun theme. Definitely a gamers' game, so it may not be for everyone. |
| Admiral Fisher | 6 | 12 | Yes | Fantastic game - but for adults. A bright kid would enjoy this aged 12 - well, maybe. I fear that an average kid would not get ortwant to get his/her head around it. |

| cdefrisco | 4 | 14 | Yes | For teens and older this is a brilliant game. Lots of fun, lots of hard choices. Beautiful components. My 15 yr. old really likes this game. I probably like it more than he does. My 10 yr. old plays the game and understands the mechanics, but could never sit down and play with his friends without constant adult supervision. And they most likely would not enjoy themselves as they wouldn't grasp the strategy/tactics. I personally love this game. :-) |
| Sheylon | 2 | 14 | Yes | Magnificent game but it is a pretty deep strategy planning game that will not at all appeal to kids. The original Wallenstein version also will likely hold little interest for kids (Shogun might be better there) and the cube tower, though cool, will confound kids trying to figure out optimal choices. One of the best adult games out there but it may be frustrating for younger teens who will be challenged by the need to balance your commitments. |
