| Admiral Fisher | 8 | 7 | Yes | Just the sort of thing to interest your children in tile-laying games. This one has elements of Carcassonne and Fjords and yet is it own game. It pays well with 3 and 4 players - I haven't tried it with 2. It's a lot of fun and the theme adds nicely to that. It's also quick to play and makes a good end of evening game if you want something that can double up as a filler for your games group. |
| wkusau | 4 | 12 | No | This game is not good for adults. It has some elements that could help teach a kid tile laying and area majority but there are better games that do both. |
| luwies.mum | 3 | 7 | Some | This game is a poor imitation of Carcassonne, poorly planned out with too many dead ends. Some young children might enjoy laying the cards and forming landmasses, but might get frustrated trying to actually complete a planet in a game. I don't think the different landmass card types are well distributed, with too few of the same type in a deck, as getting the exact card you need depends entirely on chance. The artwork is also nothing exciting. The cards might be better used as poker cards. Carcassonne is a much better choice. |
