| Elden | 9 | 7 | Some | It's geography... what's not to like? It's a pretty simple game, so adults that like simplicity will like this game or any other 10 days in _______ game. If you're looking for a good educational game, get this. |
| sanjaysub | 9 | 8 | Yes | Fantastic and simple game that makes you want to play again and again. An excellent gateway game to introduce new kids. And as for geography, why not? |
| shawndumas | 9 | 8 | Yes | Excellent and educational fun (it's not often one can say that). No half naked women, gore, cursing, or morbidity. |
| wkusau | 9 | 8 | Yes | Fun series, good geography lesson. |
| bmatthews | 8 | 8 | Yes | Really fun quick game. It's easy to learn, and has gone over well with both kids and adults who do not like more complicated games (and also by those who do like complicated games). |
| CDRodeffer | 8 | 10 | Yes | The Out of the Box geography trip games are an excellent series, both for there subtle educational value and for how fun they are to play as a family. There's a bit of memory, a bit of looking around, and a bit of not knowing what might happen next that makes the game a bit much for the under-10 (or so) crowd. But as soon as kids are learning geography in school, they're ready for this. |
| fsumarc | 8 | 7 | Yes | Geography that is fun. Even younger kids can get into the game if team play is used. Our kids really enjoy these and have actually learned to pronounce places properly as well as basic locating. |
| Mark | 8 | | Yes | Excellent for learning where countries are. |
| Styro | 8 | 7 | Yes | This is a good game that teaches geography and requires some planning and decision making. |
| TGov | 8 | 6 | Yes | |
| Xanthos | 8 | 10 | Yes | I really enjoy this and so do some of the kids I have introduced it to. Some don't really pick up what is going. I love the fact that gamers learn some Geography as well as are doing some estimating of what would be the best route or which ways would leave your trip more flexible. It tends to be a fairly silent game as there is a lot to think about. |
| Larry Welborn | 7 | 8 | Yes | Jazzed up Rack-O, this game also teaches geography. |
| musicmom | 7 | 7 | Yes | This is a great game that I enjoy more than my kids. It's a little like Racko only with way more interesting options. Unfortunately, my kids aren't addicted yet, but I'll keep trying. |
| rotting | 7 | 7 | Yes | I really enjoy playing this game with my 7 year old. It helps if the child can read a bit. At 7, he does need my help often, so we always play nice. It is great for learning geography of Africa. My only complaint is that during the setup phase when drawing and placing cards in the racks, I often am able to ge 7-8 days arranged in order before the game even starts. It makes for a very short game when that happens. |
| dannywebb | 6 | 6 | Yes | Not the most fun game in the world; it is a bit dry and calm. Still, it is an enjoyable exercise and a great way to teach geography. |
| pilgrim | 6 | 7 | Yes | We homeschool, and my wife has some games set aside for approved games for little breaks during the day , or something like that. This is one of them. The kids don't ever ask for this during our evening family game time, but they're happy enough to play it during one of their breaks.
This is one of those games that is nicely educational for the kids without being dull or blatantly obvious ( Ok, boys, let's play Mr. Mike's Math Multiplication Game! -- that never goes over well in our house). It's decently fun, although occasionally the end-game drags when everybody is down to drawing for that one-last-card-I-need-for-a-win. |
