| luwies.mum | 6 | 13 | Yes | Not the most exciting of games, though fun enough to be used as a time-filler (about 20-30 min. per game). I think this game works better for teens and adults, as it takes some balancing and figuring out exactly how much value to put onto the merchandise in order not to break the bank. It is quite difficult to actually reap a profit (the objective of the game is to be the player who has earned the most, or lost the least money after 3 rounds); though it probably teaches a good lesson in the value and hard-to-come-by nature of money. All-in-all, an o.k. game. The parts are well made and the artwork is quite nice. Perhaps the 3+ player version of this game (Medici) is more exciting; Medici vs. Strozzi is the 2-player version. |
| shawndumas | 5 | 12 | | Too dry for most kids and teens. But...No half naked women, gore, cursing, or morbidity. |
| ed95005 | 4 | 12 | Yes | Kids will find this boring as dirt. |
| Ed the Red | 3 | 12 | Yes | A fairly dry abstract game which has a tendency to be mathematically analysable, especially towards the end. Older kids might find it OK but it's not overly exciting. If they like the multiplayer boardgame Medici and you want to be able to play two-player, this is just the job! |
| Sheylon | 2 | 12 | Yes | I can't see this one working for kids as it is so hard to evaluate the worth of the individual lots. Even adults tend to run into the negatives on this one because it takes a few tries before you can tell how much you should pay for things. The theme (shipping goods) is also likely of little interest to older teens. Much better as one for adults. |
