Admiral Fisher106Yes A wonderful game, though the English version Escape from Atlantis is better as the pieces are more interesting. Lots of simple strategy and a good dose of luck. It has the gobble factor that kids like and it's almost like a precusror to a lot of Euros today.
laraberrycross98Yes You can't play too rough against kids, but it's a great game.
talhoffer96Yes I will never turn down a game of Survive- this was my favorite boardgame as a kid. Elegant mechanics and oh so fun fun with a great 'take that!' feel that my family adores.
Thommy8910Yes
aljovin87Some The game is marked 8 and up, and can probably be played with a younger crowd, but some reading skills are required to play the game,as there is text under the pieces. The game plays well with 3 or 4 players, but is lacking interaction when played with 2 players. My sons enjoyed the game but prefer Escape from Atlantis (similar game, but 3D components).
bane22188Yes I did play this as a kid and simply loved it. It gives a chance to do some risk-benefit analysis on a kid level.
Gecko2386Yes The kids really liked this one as soon as they saw it, sending a sea monster or two after opponents being the obvious favorite part. Although there is a little text on some of the tiles, an older sibling or parent can read it.
sandys85Yes What a fun game. You can't play too cutthroat with the kids and we have a house rule that you can't gang up one person, but we all really enjoyed this. My 5-year-old didn't have any trouble playing and really enjoyed dumping his brothers into the ocean and attacking them with the monsters. I could see where this might not be a game for someone who takes winning too seriously or gets their feelings hurt easily, though.
ed95005710Yes Kids and adults will find a lot to like about this. I thought this was out of print, though.
