| Admiral Fisher | 9 | | | One of the best fun games out there. My two boys both love it - and it is a game thats good for adults, too. Theres always a huge laugh when Emerald the dragon pinches some food. |
| wkusau | 8 | 5 | Yes | 5 yr olds can play the game but might not get the strategy. |
| boltongeordie | 7 | 5 | Yes | Hmmm... hard to rate this one.
- A simple set collecting game with nice clear pictures in primary colours, good for 3 and up.
BUT there is a strategy required, you cant take more than the king and so sometimes you have to decide to take a small portion. Also you have to work out how best to use the dragon to reduce the king's food and cause other people problems, maybe it is for 6 and up.
AND if you want to count up your score at the end you will have to be confident with multiplication by 7 or 8 and mental arithmatic up to 100. Maybe 8, 9 or 10. |
| csjoholm | 7 | | | This has simple enough mechanics that my youngest was able to play (if not grasp the strategy) at three. |
| wilythesnitch | 7 | 8 | Yes | I'd have to say this would be for ages 8 and up, if the child was to be able to play on their own. The scoring can be a little tough to calculate, but that can be a group effort, so it's not really a problem that will keep children from being able to enjoy the game. Once they get the idea that they can't take more than the king has, the strategy becomes a little more clear, and most kids I've played this with have enjoyed it after 2 or 3 plays. |
