| LoMa | 7 | 10 | | Cleo & Society is quite popular in our household. 11 year olds like the plastic pieces and the sense of actually building a model of Cleo's palace. We play without the priest's dice - youngsters don't seem to get it and it just interferes with the flow of the game for them. We also play a shorter game by putting Cleo on the second place of her path - otherwise the game drags on too long. The rules and different cards are a little confusing at first, but once a kid has played a game or two, it all gets clearer. Having to balance corruption with gaining wealth is the topping on the cake for this game - who will get fed to the crocodiles!!???!!!???
The rules may be too complicated for some 10 year olds... It will depend on your kid. |
