| Norwood | 5 | 8 | Yes | This is a bluffing/guessing game where two players place bird cards to try and claim the most valuable roosts in some prehistoric setting. Both opponents have identical sets of cards numbered from 1 to 13, along with a Jaguar card. These are placed face-down, alternating players one-at-a-time, on the different roosts. When a card is placed on a roost containing an opponent's card, the previous card is revealed and the player who placed the new card compares the numbers on the cards, with the lower card being discarded. A Jaguar card eliminates any other card (and itself) when revealed. This game has promise of being a neat bluffing game, but in reality is more of just a blind/second-guessing exercise where you try to predict how your opponent will play. There is some strategy involved, but the level of chaos involved is pretty hard to overcome. The cards are pretty, but the game itself is not very exciting. |
