| fuzzyfife | 9 | 10 | Yes | Game play is simple but once again the playing of the proper card might require more than what a joung one is capable of. |
| jcarvin | 8 | 7 | Yes | This is a great racing game and very similar to Daytona 500. This can be played with younger kids, the mechanics are very easily, but the bidding for cars and playing the right card at the right time may be beyond them. |

| Scammer | 7 | 5 | Yes | Finally found a decent racing themed game for my young race fan. For the younger gamer (like my 5 year old) only minor adjustments required to play right out of the gate
1) no auctioning the cars. Let them select 3 of their own (you get three, they get three). Give them the cars with the appropriate car colors to remind them which are their cars
2) limit the hand to 3 or 4 cards. Play a card, draw a card. 10 card hand is tough on a little one. Limit the card count to a manageable level. Still provides decision making, but doesn't overwhelm.
Over time, we've added the auction method and have increased the hand limit (still not to 10). Perhaps with a card holder, 10 is do-able for the little ones. The only other change was removing the money and replacing with goldfish crackers. Money is still abstract for a youngster, but edible crackers are a tangible commodity!
A very fun game that it getting requested on almost a nightly basis! |
