| boltongeordie | 10 | 3 | Yes | Fantastic for teaching kids letters. It is quite short with a simple roll and move mechanic and kids love the Dr Seuss theme and the chance to play as Sally, I, Thing 1 or Thing 2. However, the aim of the game is to collect the objects from the bool. Each object you land on can only be collected if it matches at least one letter with the object you collected last. I have used this game to help introduce all my kids to the alphabet. This starts by being introduced to the concept that these shapes are used in different words (at that stage this is just a shape matching game), then they learn the phonetic names of each letter (so this becomes a shape identification and matching game) and so on. Before you know it they know their alphabet. |
