boltongeordie105Yes Rarely have I seen a game that combines such strategy with such rapid action. Oh and Penguins. So simple that even young kids can understand it, but the play is complex and beautifully balanced - do you trade short term gain (a 3 fish tile) for longer term position (a better placed hex). When is it good to get cut off and when bad. I have a feeling this one will keep coming out.
cindy107Yes Perfect family game. It has real strategy, great components, plays very fast, children can compete with adults, and most importantly it is Fun.
mawiker105Yes
Thommy810  Fabulous game! This works really well for 2, 3, and 4 players. It has a cute theme but a great game underlying that theme too. The components are very nice, and the rules are simple enough for kids to grasp quickly, and learn to appreciate over time with many plays.
Yollege104Yes My 8 yr old has only beaten my 4 yr old once in this game. Passed Blokus as my favorite "real" game to play with the kids.
Admiral Fisher9  Fantastic! Even my 4 and a half year old can win at this. He often asks to play. Ok, so maybe you cannot be quite so cut-throat with this when you play kids, but it is fun nonetheless!
anthropos9596Yes I love this game! Setup is a little bit time consuming, yet, game play is awesome with children. It also scales very well with adults. Great for reinforcing counting and logic/reasoning skills in children.
c0yote95Yes Great quick game. My 6 yr old figured out how big blocking was after his first game (he ended up blocking himself the next game :^) I printed out a tile template that shortens setup time.
dangermike94Yes A great example of a game that grows with kids. The rules are so simple that even the youngest kids can play it. But the tactics and strategy go deep enough to make it a challenge for adults. And adults can very easily modulate their play to the level of the kids.
dclose9   This is an excellent abstract that's good for both kids and adults. I created a board to simplify game setup. It has the hexes printed right on it and folds down to fit in the box. You can make your own too as I uploaded my design and instructions here: http://www.boardgamegeek.com/file/20825/4-fold-board_speeds_setup.pdf
ef97Yes
flowerkin9  I've played with kids from 3 to 13 and they all loved it. The younger ones are just as good as the older. My 3 year old will sit through a game, but she doesn't get the strategy quite yet. My 5 year old can beat me.
fortgary96Yes A penguin-themed game sure to thrill all kids. While all kids from ages 5 or 6 will enjoy playing the game, they will really start figuring out the strategies involved around the 7 or 8 range. From that point, this is a very solid choice.
fuzzyfife98Yes A very nice family game that is playable by anyone over say age 8.
helenoftroy97Yes This is a great new family game. As soon as your children can follow directions, try this game out. It does not work for my three year old yet but I am going to give it a go with my niece who is ten and my nephew who is seven.
klarkin96Yes Great game for kids and adults. Teaches kids to think several moves (or at least 1-2) ahead, and to prioritize their options, without relying on cards or dice to dictate your moves. I can even play it with my 4 year old (well, she was technically 3 at the time), but she really isn't ready, and likes to move one hex at a time.
Larry Welborn9  My 5 and 3 year old children can play this game just fine and both have beaten me. The minimum age listed is too high for this one.
mentis95Yes A wonderful abstract game with a delightful theme that is not annoying for being merely pasted on. Children and adults both really enjoy this game. Adults can play it cut throat or easily use a more easy going style tailored to the age of the children who are playing.
molnar98Yes Very simple rules, scales well, and quite high let's play again factor. Personally, really like it best for two.
OldestManOnMySpace96Yes A very fun game, whether for children or adults.
