| helenoftroy | 7 | | | I like this game and it would be a better edition of Risk for children than the original because of the set number of turns. There may be some confusion about the moon territories and how to transport units. I would only teach high school age children this game. |
| sigmazero13 | 7 | 10 | Yes | While I love this game myself, this one probably may not be good for any but the older groups of kids. While it is based on the basic Risk rules, the added complexity of the various Commanders and the cards requires not only (albeit basic) reading skills, but also much more internal planning and resource management. Since the timeframe for the game is only 5 turns, that may not be enough for the typical kid. If going for a risk-like game, the basic set is probably more appropriate for this age group. |

| karmic_devil | 6 | | | A great intro to war games for kids in this age group! I think the set number of turns makes this a huge step above standard risk since the required attention span is much shorter. Games with this direct conflict can often lead to bruised feelings however so this should be considered. A game of risk degenerating into tears is not uncommon. |
| Zaphod | 6 | | | Best for children over the age of 10. The game itself can be long, and the destruction of pieces might not go over too well with some kids. Rules are going to take a little explaining as well. |
