merb10165Some Belle Sara really needs to be classified as three different things: Collectible cards, card games and an online game. The cards are very pretty and the horses inventive and compelling, especially for young girls. There are self-esteem boosting phrases on each card as well. The card games included (there are three) are overly simple and not very compelling. Most involve playing cards to match either symbols on a card or the number of symbols on a card, similar to a game of UNO. The online component is the real selling point. Each card has a code that allows you to unlock that horse in a virtual stable, where you can care for your horse (feed, brush, pet, etc.) and play mini-games. Belle Sara is very good at appealing to its target audience: Tween girls. If you look at it from that standpoint, this is a good product, but if you are looking for a collectible card game, look elsewhere cause you won't find it here.
