flieger9  This game was a hit with my two year old daughter (now 3)! She could not get enough of this game. The mechanism is wonderful and allows for some free play (making buzzing sounds when the ladybugs fly around to visit each other.) As an adult I also enjoyed the game as it does have a lightly challenging memory factor. Had my son liked this game, I would have given it a 10. However, the theme did not appeal to him. Make sure you do not loose any of the colored pegs!
fluffdaddy9  My son was 3 when we got this wonderful cooperative game... and it is still played some 2 1/2 years later. I like that the game is difficult to beat, which encourages repeated play. (Most of the other cooperative games we own are "solvable".) The fact that an adult is required to set up the game (the bunches of tiny wooden pegs) is the only thing that keeps me from giving it a 10.
tiggle94Some My 8-yr-old daughter still sometimes requests this and I always agree. It's a sweet game and it's easy to play up the scenario to make the game a delightful shared experience.
efreeman83Some 11/07 - played twice today and it went over well. Rating could go up or down depending on how frequently my 3.5 yr old son requests it. 1/08 Moved up to an 8, currently my son's favorite
jtakagi8  My 2-year old is actually a little bit bothered by the magnetism, which Im not sure she understands. She gets a little scared or disappointed when the ladybugs repel each other. So sometimes our games end early, but she still always wants to play. The pegs that insert into the ladybugs require adult supervision if younger children are around.
jwdiscovery8  I picked this up mainly for my four year old daughter - but my 2 year old son loves to play as well! When we first played, and the first ladybug said "no", my daughter jumped up and said "THAT IS AMAZING!" Priceless. We have since started calling it "kissing" - and my son always says "NOOO KISSES".
RPardoe84Some Kids love the attraction of the magnets and have fun trying to figure out if the ladybirds will like each other. Game is "easy" enough that kids can play by themselves and have fun. The pace of ants arriving is so slow that it is actually very difficult to have the ants win.
alkaiser55Some At it's heart this is a variation on a memory game with a nice kid theme and very nice pieces. My kids love playing with the ladybugs but more as a role playing exercise than as a game. As a game, this one is certainly fiddly with all the small pieces and if you are not careful with how you transfer the pieces from one ladybug to another you can get into a situation where you can't win the game. With an adult helping out this is less likely but with kids playing on their own I can see that this might be a more frequent problem.
smithhemb5  Beautiful but fussy and game-play is not very engaging. Not a hit with the 3 year old boy (who generally likes games and who likes physics/motion kind of toys) that I bought it for. Went over better with my nieces but not a fave of theirs either.
